10 ways to put a Spring in your Step
The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, and that means one thing: SPRING HAS SPRUNG. This is the time of year where I become all sorts of motivated by the longer, warmer days! I use spring time as a fresh start, a time to reset and refuel. Here is a list of what I do to put a spring in my step.
- Buy a plant. Even if you’re known to be a serial plant killer, buy one anyway. Succulents are known to be plant killer friendly. They are small in size and look great in every nook of your home. I do this year round, but add fresh blooms to your kitchen. My favorite find are the hydrangeas from Trader Joe’s, beautiful with an affordable price tag too!
- Buy a fun piece for your spring wardrobe. I normally stick to neutrals, but in the spring I’m willing to get out of my comfort zone with blush or lavender pieces!
- Spring Cleaning. Deep clean and declutter your home. On my to do list this spring is to detail my car and organize our garage.
- Exercise Outdoors. Get out of your typical indoor gym routine. Whether it’s a run outside or a HIIT routine, get moving.
- Try a new healthy recipe. Here is a yummy salad recipe I’m looking forward to trying.
- New spring scents. It’s time for all the clean linen and floral spring candles to get lit! Open those windows and allow some fresh air inside too!
- Plan an outdoor adventure. I normally plan a hike with a picnic. Pack your favorites along with some champaign!
- Eat outdoors as often as you can. Whether it’s your lunch or patio beers during happy hour, soak in that vitamin C!
- Read a book outside. Set up your hammock and enjoy that book you’ve been meaning to start since the new year.
- Go get a manicure. Pastel colors are so fun and feminine.
I hope everyone enjoys the first day of Spring!
