The minimal make up brand: Glossier
I’m sure you have seen an ad or at least heard a friend mention Glossier! My friend Lauren introduced me to the line over one year ago. If you’re new to Glossier, it can easily be described as minimalistic make up. Being a nurse, that is exactly what I wear daily. The only time I wear a full face of make up is on the weekend. Below I’ll review the products I’ve personally used and other products the company offers! If you want 10% off your first order, visit this link here.
Milk Jelly Cleanser– I enjoyed the consistency and the rose scent. I would use this cleanser in the shower, but it did not remove all of my eye make up. I switched back to my TULA cleanser after I was finished with this product.
Balm Dotcom– This is my holy grail and what convinced me to try Glossier in the first place. It is a lip balm, more like a salve. You have to dab it on your finger before applying it to your lips. They have different scents, my favorite is the mint! The rose scent has a pink tint to it and the birthday cake scent has sparkles in it for when you’re feeling fancy! I can’t wait to try the new mango scent.
Haloscope– This is a highlighter, with a sparkle tint. It comes in multiple shades and gives your skin a subtle dewy look. I’m curious to see how the new $14 Neutrogena Illuminator compares!
Mascara– I did not notice anything special about their mascara. I have short lashes and this left me with a natural look.
Lid Stars– This is an eyeshadow that is very simple to apply. You dab a small amount on your finger and rub it onto your eyelid. It comes in different shades, but definitely has shimmer to it. It is a great product to use for days when you are in a rush.
Cloud Paint– I have not tried this, but it is a blush that comes in many different shades. You can still use a brush when applying.
Boy Brow– I have not tried this yet because I’m too obsessed with Anastasia Brow Wiz, but if you try it let me know what you think!
Glossier offers so many make up options, from powder and SPF to face mask and moisturizers. If you have the chance to go into an actual Glossier store, I would highly suggest it! I went to the store in LA, and there was a line to enter the store! It’s a unique shopping experience and I also received a tote bag and free samples with my purchase. If you’re going to try anything from here, make it the Balm Dotcom!
