Minimal Make up Packing. Find out what’s inside my travel make up bag!
When I travel, I try to pack the bare minimum! Even when my vacation last 2 weeks, I only pack a carry on luggage and a backpack as my personal item. I pack light by not brining my entire make up collection. As much as I love my naked eyeshadow pallet, that cannot fit into my toiletry bag! I’m sharing what’s inside my travel make up bag and how to condense the amount of items you bring!
My first tip is to get eye lash extensions. I only get extensions for special occasions, and a vacation is one of them! I normally use two different mascaras, but with extensions I can pack one travel sized tube of mascara for touch ups and my bottom lashes. I have such short lashes naturally that it takes me 10 minutes to do my mascara. With extensions, I’m always ready and it cuts out “getting ready” time which gives us more time to explore and have fun!
As I mentioned above, the naked eyeshadow pallet is too large! I pack the tarte flirt eyeshadow pallet because it comes with neutral colors for the day, and darker/sparkling colors for a night out. The 6 color options will have you covered for any event!
This naked pallet has blush, bronzer, and a highlighter all in one. Rather than taking individuals of each, I use this compact pallet when I travel.
Rather than a large bottle of liquid foundation. I use IT cosmetics CC Cream. It also comes in a travel sized bottle in shades light & medium. I tried to getaway with shade medium, but it was too light. I normally wear medium tan so I have to purchase the full size. However, if you’ve been wanting to try the CC cream and you can wear a light or medium, the $15 CC cream option would be perfect for traveling and testing out to see if you like it!
HOLY GRAIL. Summer Fridays Jet lag mask. I use this stuff on the plane before taking off, when we land, as a primer, as an evening mask, as a moisturizer. This stuff is GOLD and so versatile. It even comes in a travel size options which is much cheaper and it will allow you to try the product if you’re skeptical!
I pack the same brow pencil and eye liner I use everyday. They are small in size and work wonders!
Instead of brushes, I pack sponges because they are light weight and don’t take much space. These sponges are infused with matcha and honey.
I use the travel sized TULA cleanser and moisturizer because even on vacation I still want to take care of my skin! With traveling your face is more prone to breaking out and I prevent that by purchasing these travel kits. I only take the cleanser and moisturizer with me, but still use the other products when I am at home.
Any product I buy in a travel size, I still use even after the trip. I do not save the product for my next trip. If I didn’t continue to use a product until it was empty, I would feel like I waisted my money. I love all of these products! Of course I wold love to use setting spray, eyeshadow primer, etc. but I remind myself this minimal make up routine is only temporary and I can always touch up if needed!
Stay fearless,
Michelle Foster
