Bridal shower ideas: How to throw the perfect shower for your special bride.
One of the things I love most about weddings is all the girl bonding experiences that come before the big day! Attending and hosting bridal showers has always been one of my favorite wedding activities, but after being the bride I have a new appreciation for showers. It overwhelmed my heart with the amount of love and support we received before embarking on this journey called marriage. I wanted to share the highlights of my bridal shower hosted by my wonderful Aunt’s and Cousin. They added so many little details that did not go unnoticed. If you’re hosting a shower soon, here are some ideas on how to make the day so special and memorable for your bride to be!
- Photos of us throughout our relationship. Small square photos of Chase and I were printed and placed on the table. Some photos I totally forgot existed because they were from 7 years ago! It was so fun to reminisce on how far our relationship has come and all the memories we’ve made along the way. I also appreciated that our puppy, Brady was included in some photos too!
- Food. All of my favorite food was served! Most people don’t know I’m a sucker for chicken and waffles. They also served one of my favorite desserts, macaroons! Instead of serving your basic mimosa, they Michelle themed it by using grapefruit juice instead.
- Games. I’m super picky about games. I do not like super cheesy ones, but I think they can be fun ice breakers to get the party started and to have guest mingle. When guest first walked in, they saw a “guess how many wine corks are in the jar sign” and the person with the closest guess won a prize. We then played “how well do you know the bride”. Each guest was given a sheet of paper and could choose between THIS or THAT, I then revealed my answers and the guest with the most correct answers won a prize. I also love the he said vs she said games. All super simple, but fun!
- Decorating details and favors. I loved all the fresh flowers! Something so simple adds so much. I also appreciated the personalized sign that read “Soon to be Mrs. Foster”. They provided succulents as favors to guest who attended and used them as centerpieces too. Mine are still alive to this day, they are such a fun reminder of my perfect bridal shower.
It’s not easy hosting a shower, but always remember your bride will be thankful for anything and everything you do! My bridal shower completely blew me away and I am so thankful for a day I will always remember.
I wore this dress here. It was the first time I ordered from ChicWish, I was very pleased with the quality! I also love this similar style as well. Below are some other favorites under $100.
