Crowd Pleasing Pumpkin Bread. A great appetizer for Thanksgiving

Pumpkin Bread Recipe

This homemade pumpkin bread recipe is easy and delicious! It is a great dish to take to Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, or any Fall pitch in. My husband who claims he doesn’t even like pumpkin enjoys this! The recipe creates two loafs.

Ingredients

  • 3 C Sugar
  • 1 C Vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 1/3 C all purpose flower
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 2/3 C water
  • 1 can (15oz) pumpkin puree

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.

Grease 2 loaf pans. I got rid of my bread baking dish when moving, so I had to utilize a substitute, but it still turned out delicious.

Add Sugar and Oil to mixing bowl and beat. I used my kitchen aide mixer, but you could use any mixer or even do it by hand.

Add eggs and mix well

In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, slat, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Begin to alternate adding flour mixture and water to the sugar mixture, beating on low speed after each addition until it is all combined. Lastly, add pumpkin and mix.

If you’d like to add chocolate chips, do that as you add the pumpkin. I always add a little chocolate!

Spoon batter into the prepared pans and bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely.

Wrap, Store, Serve!
